Poor Minnie is Isaac's and Ty's entertainment on these rainy days.
The other day Ty lost his first tooth here in the States. He has previously lost 2 of his baby teeth and this is his 3rd. I still am not sure if it was loose or not. He had a little help getting it out. He and Isaac were playing and chasing a small ball around the house. They both went for the ball, and according to Isaac, his foot hit Ty's mouth and his tooth flew out! At first I had thought it came out by itself and I was making a big deal about it and all excited. Once we got his mouth cleaned up he was pretty excited too. I guess he figured something good happened, but you could tell he still wasn't quite sure. That was when I heard the whole story from Isaac, but by that time he was more than happy to have lost a tooth and wanted to call and tell El all about it ("Daddy...tooth...all gone"). In the morning he found a dollar under his pillow and thought that it was a pretty good deal.
Today he went to our family doctor for his first check-up. He actually loved the doctor and didn't want to leave... that is until the nurse came in with the shots. Unfortunately, this time he didn't laugh. He screamed! He had to get 3 shots and the ladies in the office felt so bad that they had chips, stickers, gum and candy for him as he came out of the room! He looked at me like he was asking "is this for real? do I really get all this?" I told him he could have them and he quickly started stashing everything away in his pockets and got a big smile on his face.
We're home now and he and Isaac are raiding the pantry again! Life quickly returns back to normal! He and Isaac get along very well. I'll be glad for the rain to stop so they can go back outside though. Well, today Isaac was giving some advice to Ty while they were cutting out pictures. Ty and Kayla were cutting very carefully and Isaac was cutting away like he was in the race of his life (Isaac's life is one big race). Well, he cut off the legs of his animal and I told him to do it again and go slowly! A few minutes later I heard him telling Ty that "Slow is dumb... you never get anything done if you are slow!" Good thing Ty's doesn't understand everything, yet!
