Meet the Relatives!

Ty has met most of my family here in the states. I am fortunate enough to have all of my immediate family right here in Columbus and most of my extended family is also here. So Ty has met his Great-Grandmothers, Great Aunts & Uncles and my cousins, along with his Aunts, Uncles and cousins from my side of the family.

Well, today he got to meet his Vovo, Vava, Aunt Tita, Uncle Nelson, Matilde & Thomas. These are El's parents, a sister, brother-in-law, and his niece and nephew. Thanks to technology he was able to see and talk with them over the computer. For those of you who don't know... El grew up in Portugal. His dad is Portugese and his mom is African. They met in Angola and El actually lived there for the first 4 years of his life, and then they had to leave the country due to a civil war. It got extremely dangerous and they were able to flee the country and go to Portugal. El came to the U.S. about 17 years ago to attend college and play a little basketball. :-) Therefore, most of El's family is scattered around the world and Ty will meet some of them over time. Most of El's family is in Portugal and Africa, but he does have a sister in England and another sister here in the U.S. (California). His parents are hoping to come in October for Isaac's birthday, and maybe one day we'll head over to Portugal so all the kids can meet the Seabra relatives.
