On Wednesday Ty wanted to go with El to basketball and I took the other kids to AWANA. After AWANA I went to pick up Ty at basketball, and when he saw me come in, he came running to me yelling "Mommy, Mommy" and gave me a big hug! I was so glad to see that he is excited to see me now too! :-)
Last night we took him to the dentist to let him watch El get his teeth cleaned. I think everyone there was a little nervous to see him come in again. Well, I am glad to report that he did pretty well. He cried some but soon figured out that El was the one getting his teeth cleaned. He then got quite interested in the whole process and even sat on El's lap in the chair, until the dentist came into the room and he flew off his lap screaming and crying again. He settled down after a bit and the rest of the time did very well. Ty has a missing tooth and the dentist thinks that in Africa someone had pulled it out and probably without any medication! He said that tooth extractions can be extremely painful and that he doesn't want to even imagine what could have happened to him.
Anyways, we made a little progress. He's beginning to like me a little! :-) And he tolerated the dentist! Not bad!
