Benny, Johnny, Ty, Isaac & Michael

Today all of the cousins came over to play. They played outside all day long and even inside Ty doesn't take off his hat... ready to go back out in a moment's notice! He and Isaac are acting more and more like brothers as the days go by... I heard the boys yelling at each other and when I opened the door Isaac was lecturing Ty about taking away a bullet from his pop gun. As Isaac walked away, Ty (who picked out one of Isaac's words) was yelling at Isaac "Never, never, never!". I told my sister he is going to pick up the language one way or another. Anyway, when yelling at Isaac didn't work he chased him down and started hitting him with a stick at which time Isaac picked up a large piece of wood to throw at Ty... I quickly called them both inside (before Ty got his head chopped off). He hasn't figured out or doesn't seem to care that Isaac is twice his body weight. El got to deal with this one... this is another situation when language is a problem. :-)

This weekend we also figured out that Ty thought that our home was called "America". It makes sense because in Ethiopia they kept telling him he was going to America! Along with a lot of new words he is very interested in working on his colors. He is enjoying learning words for colors, food, and clothing. It's amazing how quickly the language is coming. He is frequently using 3 word phrases to get his point across. He is also learning a lot of words from the T.V. that pertain to basketball. He has learned score, shoot, basket and of course lots of screaming. Even Ty was running around the room yelling as Ohio State won the game in overtime! He is quickly becoming an Ohio State fan!
