Things around here are getting pretty hectic! Saturday is quickly approaching and there's still quite a few things to check off the list. The kids can hardly wait to see Fitsum... actually, if it was up to them they would get on the plane with me in a hurry. Isaac says that he would like to go because of all the snacks that I'm taking with me. When Kara asked him if he would stay there for the entire week he answered "....no, you can come and pick me up in a day or two". Although Kayla likes the snacks too, she's a little bit more fancy... cashews are her thing and she says that if she's not coming with me, she won't let me go unless I leave some with her.
Since we're talking about snacks... you all should see my suitcase. Kara decided that it's more important to fill the suitcase with snacks and toys instead of my clothes. Yeah... that's right... I had to beg for room in those suitcases. She watched me like a hawk as I was packing my clothes. I gotta tell you.... if my suitcase weighs more than 50 lbs at the airport, there will be no discussion what gets removed out the suitcases... not toys.... not snacks.... probably my 5 lb tennis shoes; and then, she will tell me to buy some when I get there.
Well... If that really happened I doubt I would be arguing too much. She wouldn't be right if I had to leave a toy behind. Yep... I'm telling you... yesterday we had to go all the way to Polaris mall (level 3 snow emegency in Delaware county) to exchange a Disney CD player that had a chewed up screw (hehehe... guess who broke it...not me... she did).
Well.... I think I've had enough fun for tonight. We're all really excited about what God is doing in our lives and in the life of Fitsum. We thank God for the great opportunity He has given us to bless and be blessed by a child such as him.
Thank you... family and friends. This is truly a story that couldn't be written without God's divine intervention, and the support and encouragement from people like you.
