"Ty no pull (full)"
Ty has become the bottomless pit over the past couple of weeks. He had begun to eat tremendous amounts of food for a boy his age and size. He never hid it like some children do but he just wouldn't quit eating. He was easily eating 3 servings (and our servings aren't that small). One night he ate 3 1/2 brats along with everything else on his plate. He was gaining weight so rapidly that we needed to start limiting his food intake. He loves eating... he does have some Ward in him somewhere! :-) I have never been one to want to say no to a little boy who has been starved most of his life, but we did finally have to limit how much food he ate at each meal. He always asks for more, but now I tell him (after his seconds) that he can have some more later and to go play. He is usually o.k. with that and will go on his way.
Well, today we have had a big day and in this video he is explaining to me that he is not full and that his stomach is too small and he needs to eat more food. Before you all think that we are starving this poor child I will just give you a sampling of his food today beginning in the morning.
Breakfast - a whole peanut butter & jelly sandwich and orange juice
We had a lunch at church that was self serve and I have to say that I lost count of all that Ty ate because he goes around asking MANY different people to help him get more and more food...
Lunch - several halves of bologna sandwiches, handfuls of chips, a few grapes ("I no like these mommy") rice crispy treats, & brownies
Then we went to a birthday party.
Dinner - hotdog, fruit, cake & candy
Later that night
Chocolate milk, another rice crispy treat, a bowl of cheerios & 6 peanut butter and cracker sandwiches
And then he still wanted.... SPAGHETTIE & POPCORN!
