Mannequin

Today was a rare day! This morning, Kayla and Isaac were both invited to go over to their friends homes... each to a different home. Ty stayed with me and I decided to take advantage of the time and run a couple of errands. When I have only Ty around, I can manage him pretty easily, but when I find myself in a store with both Isaac and Ty, that's when things begin to go bad really fast.

Ty was happy to go along with me and go shopping, because unlike Isaac he LOVES clothes! He follows me around asking "where... boy... clothes?". It was pretty funny because he would pick out clothes for me and tell me to get them. One time I picked up a skirt and he immediately said, "no... I, no like". I know I have said this before but he sure knows what he likes and doesn't like.

After walking around through the store, I heard him say, "ouchy, mommy, ouchy.... look mommy... ouchy". When I looked, I saw him pointing to half a mannequin that was modeling jeans. He was very disturbed and kept telling me through his actions that it was an "ouchy" to cut off half of his body! :-) I tried to tell him that they weren't real, but I got no where... he just kept pretending to cut off his head and kept saying "bad... ouchy". After that experience, we left pretty quickly and up until now I keep wondering if he ever understood what I was trying to explain to him.
